Linum Consult’s client is urgently seeking a Materials Manager to be involved in a significant mixed use development construction project in Qatar. RESPONSIBILITIES • Managing the quality assurance procedures and the materials inspection and testing procedures • Ensuring that there are no delays in the approvals and commissioning of different materials for a mixed-use project • Reviewing and approving the sub-contractor's materials submissions • Identifying non-conforming work and/or materials, maintaining records and following up that corrective action is taken by the sub-contractor and close out each issue • Starting to prepare the necessary documents for the final handover of the project early, so that these can be updated as the project progresses PROFILE • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role, with 7 years of mixed-use project experience • A history of working for main contractors ONLY (candidates with experience in consultancies, real estate companies or developers WILL NOT be considered) as the candidate must be very hands-on • At least a Bachelor’s degree qualification in Engineering or equivalent degree qualification • A background of working in the Middle East • Excellent communication skills FINANCIAL PACKAGE Our client is willing to pay an excellent expat package for this opportunity, including accommodation, transport, health insurance and flights home.
